We led a team of archaeologists, engineers, architects and designers in the creation of a new interpretive strategy for the Castle, backed by conservation and business development plans. The development vision for the Castle involved relocating the civil prison (originally the Royal Navy prison) from the Castle to a new site at Lathbury Barracks. This enabled the implementation of the interpretation strategy, designed to link the Castle with Irish Town in the centre of Gibraltar and with the extensive and historic system of defensive structures that occupy the northern aspect of the Rock.

We also produced the development plan and managed the PFI design process for the new prison, which opened in 2010.
