In 2002, we were appointed as museum planning consultant and worked alongside a full design team on this new museum project in Lincoln. We prepared a business plan, a key component of which was an options appraisal of several potential sites for the new museum, resulting in the selection of an archaeology-rich site on Steep Hill, adjacent to the Usher Art Gallery.
We then managed the successful application for Scheduled Monument Consent and the successful grant application to the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Collection includes a wealth of artefacts from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages, Roman, Saxon, Viking and Medieval eras as well as fine decorative and contemporary visual art. This multi-award winning museum opened to critical acclaim in October 2005.
